FlipIT is a Chrome extension that automatically detects Hebrew text on web pages and aligns it right-to-left (RTL) for improved readability. It works entirely within your browser and does not communicate with any external server.
We do not collect any personal data. Specifically, FlipIT does not collect or process:
FlipIT saves a small number of user preferences locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. This includes:
These settings never leave your device and are not transmitted anywhere. They are only used to remember your preferences between browser sessions.
FlipIT requests only the permissions strictly necessary to function:
activeTab - to detect Hebrew text on the current page and apply RTL alignmentstorage - to save your local preferences (enable/disable, math protection)host_permissions: <all_urls> - to allow the extension to align Hebrew text on any website you choose to use it onAll text detection and direction alignment happens inside your browser via a content script. The extension scans visible page elements for Hebrew characters using a Unicode pattern match and applies CSS direction styling locally. No page content is ever read, copied, transmitted, or stored outside the page you are viewing.
FlipIT does not use any third-party services, analytics, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or external APIs. It does not send any HTTP requests of its own.
FlipIT does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this privacy policy changes in the future, the updated version will be published at the same URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of FlipIT after such changes constitutes acceptance.
